Great work on the angles. Love your work bubba. ❤
Excellent. Thank you for sharing!
The in air kick shot was great
Super cool collection of films! I'd love to see some of the shots when you're done. I'm especially curious about the Double-X and Ferrania P30, and how they do shooting graffiti. I'm trying to find a good low-ISO, fine grain B&W stock for it myself
Thanks - it was great to hear his thoughts!
Interesting to see more speed in the shadows in the 1+25 dilution. Btw, this is why it's nearly impossible to stand develop Delta 3200 in rodinal. Unless you happen to have some well-lit scenes at night, all your images will end up flat.
Good video. Thank you.
I've just bought the FP4 and I developed in D76 stock. I don't like it because the grain si so fine and creamy. I'll try with the Rodinal.
It’ll look great in rodinal! Rodinal gives it that bite but the grain is fine enough to where it won’t be grain city. also if you wanna use d76 with it I’d try at least 1:2 to give it some bite. It’ll come out better.
@@TheNegative Thank you very much!!!
XTOL compared with dd-x,which is better for pusing?thank you!
Some fine choices imho. Love to see what comes out of it.
I'm impressed! If we ever get together, I'll buy the steaks and drinks. No need to thank me. Just give me all your film. 😏 Best wishes from Vermont 🍁
Great video
Very, very good video. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Man wished I had watched this before purchasing 2 rolls 😅 they had a buy 4 get 1 free offer over at AWonderland but only a few types of rolls were eligible so thought would give em a try…
Yeah it’s a tricky one! I’d probably shoot it at 160 and if you can request the type of scans at the lab you send it to, see if they can scan it on a Noritsu if they give the option. I’ve seen noritsu scanners able to pull out some more usable results.
Will do that thank you for your insight and advice 🙏
Great little gadget!
what are you on about scan?...if you are only going half cocked why bother?....get yourself an enlarger and experience the whole process, if you are going to just scan your film you can just go blitz it in your lil ol photoshop wankfest
I used Rodinal years ago but now use Ilford Ilfotec HC diluted 1:60 for most films. Works for me.
What's the purpose of the, in lack of better words, metal stump sticking up in the film compartment? Feels like it should have something to do with loading the film but I haven't seen anyone mention it
Theire looking good and healthy.
It would have been interesting to add stand development to the comparison at concentrations of 100+1 or even higher. I wonder how these scenes would have benefited from that.
Do you always have to use the rewind knob to create more tension? Because I see almost everyone do it but I didn’t see you use it in your video so I’m confused lol
You don’t ABSOLUTELY have to but yeah I’d do it so you have even spacing and good tension on the film.
In your first example pulling back the development time on the first dilution would give the same results in the highlights and a lot shorter processing time.
Really good video, I mostly use 1+50 but this comparison will make me double think!
I shot a roll of this film in Japan and maybe it’s just my scanner having a hard time choosing a color profile, but almost all the pictures came out horrible. Very grainy and awful colors especially skin tones. A few photos came out alright but most of them were trash
I find it looks best when scanned as a negative, and edited yourself later
Howard zinn 🫡 i recommend the books blowback by Christopher Simpson and the devils chessboard
This film is interesting to make portraits with a vintage style
